Lectures on Leviticus (17) : Epilogue

We have learned ways of giving offerings to God in accordance with chapters 1 through 7 of the book of Leviticus. We have learned about the Burnt Offering in chapter 1. The Burnt Offering is the most important offering made. The burnt offerings symbolize keeping the Sabbath and obeying the commands of God. Today the burnt offerings indicate worship services given to God in spirit and in truth. They also indicate giving the Sunday worship service fully and living in the fellowship with God.

The Grain Offering is the subject of chapter 2. The grain offerings are thanks offerings given in worship services. The Peace Offering is covered in chapter 3. The peace offerings are given when we want to please God and pray that He will control all our ways, be with us in all circumstances and give us blessings and answers to whatever we ask.

In chapter 4, we learned about sin offerings given for the forgiveness of our sins. We cannot receive answers if we have a wall of sin against God, so we should know how we can be forgiven of our sins through the sin offerings.

The thanks offerings given as grain offering and peace offerings are acceptable to God when they are given together with burnt offerings. Similarly, sin offering and guilt offering are made perfect through burnt offering. When we keep the Sabbath holy, our burnt offerings and all other offerings are made perfect.

When we keep the Sabbath holy, it proves that we belong to God. When we keep the day of the Lord in the sight of God, He protects us from the enemy Satan and the devil for the week and leads us to recover the lost image of God and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Chapter 7 and our study of the law of offering concludes: “This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering and the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings which the LORD commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to present their offerings to the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai.” (Leviticus 7: 37-38)

I hope you keep the message of this text in your heart and mind and give offerings to God properly according to His will. If you worship God in that way and give true offering to Him, of you will all receive blessings and answers from Him. I pray in the name of the Lord that you may have close fellowship with God and receive blessings and answers through this study of worship from the book of Leviticus.
