The Holy Spirit (27) – Conclusion
We Need Practice to Hear the Holy Spirit’s Voice
John 16:13 says, “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.”
When Jesus was on this earth, He did not speak or act on His own but only obeyed the will of God. In the same way, the Holy Spirit in us also tells us the will of God and leads us to act by the will of God. When we obey the Holy Spirit’s voice, He gives us prosperity in everything to the extent that we obey, and if necessary, He will tell us what is to come also.
However, in order to obey without any fleshly thoughts, we have to cast off all kinds of untruths from our heart and store up our deeds of obedience. This cannot be done in one day. So, even the patriarchs of faith in the Bible had to go through the process of refinement. Through many experiences over a long period of time, they learned to trust and obey God and threw away their fleshly thoughts completely.
God trained them in such a way that even when they prayed, thought, spoke, and acted, or even when they took just one step, everything they did was right in the heart of God. So, if you fully obey, you will not only hear the voice of the Holy Spirit very clearly but also receive God’s power and authority to lead a life that is guaranteed by God.
When Enoch came to fully obey God after 65 years’ of refinement, God walked with him for 300 years. After that, because God loved him so much, he took him to Heaven even before the life on this earth ended.
When Moses came to fully obey after 40 years of trials, he could talk to God face to face as if he were God’s friend. Each and every word in his mouth was guaranteed by God, and he could perform such great miracles including parting the Red Sea into two.
Until they came into complete blessings, it took 40 to 65 years, but unlike the Old Testament days, now, in the days of the Holy Spirit, we do not have to go through refinement for many decades. Also, even though you are not perfect yet, to the extent that you try and obey, God gives you blessings.
Even if you do not hear Holy Spirit’s voice at all, if you start praying fervently and obeying the truth from now, you will change completely even within one year. You will be so different from those who hear the word but soon forget it.
Your spiritual faith and your prayers will be different, and the fruit you bear in your duties will be different. The spiritual light on your face will be different and the enemy devil and Satan will tremble before your authority. If you keep on receiving spiritual blessings in this way, we do not have to mention that your desires in your heart will be answered. God loves you so much that He will guide you in your life in such a detail, and answers to you to whatever you ask in prayer, so that you will be prosperous in all things.
If you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly and be guided into prosperity, you will not have any hardships in your family, works, and businesses but instead all Abraham’s blessings will come upon you. Then, until the Lord comes back again, you will give glory to God greatly as spiritual warriors who accomplish God’s kingdom greatly.
The Ones Blessed with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the heart of God. Therefore, to the extent that you bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your heart, you resemble the heart of God to that extent. Also, everything will be prosperous with you because you are guided by the Holy Spirit through His voice. Since the Holy Spirit, who searches all things, even the deep things of God, guides you, you can keep away from obstacles and go the way that is prosperous in all things.
Therefore, this message about the fruit of the Holy Spirit is an important message that leads you to the blessed way. It is like the key to solve many kinds of problems in your life. But even if you have the key, the door opens only when you put the key in the keyhole and turn it. Thus, if you have learned God’s Word, you will be blessed only when you act upon it.
James 1:22-25 says, “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently
at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.”
As Matthew 7:20 says, “So then, you will know them by their fruits,” we can distinguish what kind of tree it is by the fruit of each tree. Just having many leaves and branches does not give value to a fruit tree if it bears no fruit. Therefore, we should reflect upon ourselves, find about ourselves, and make the changes necessary to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in us everyday. In addition, when we bear each of the fruits of the Holy Spirit one by one, the evidence of God being with us will be shown in our lives.
Imagine how beautiful your life would be if you have love, joy, peace, and the delight of Heaven by casting off all your sins with patience. Also, how peaceful you would be if you bore the fruit of kindness, and were able to understand and embrace anything! To the extent to which you bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, you can lead a Christian life that is filled with happiness and joy.
There would be time of enduring until you bear the fruits, but once you begin to bear them, you will enter happy and beautiful times that cannot be compared to the past. When you bear the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in harmony, you can recover the image of true children of God. You are made in His own image. With this hope to recover the image of God you should bear these fruits of the Spirit through fervent prayer and your deeds. You should be the ones who are blessed. You should bear abundant fruit of the Holy Spirit and become prosperous as said in Psalm 1:3, “He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”
